Setting our sights on a brighter future

sustainability

Everyone understands the importance of sustainability in our daily lives, and at Eyelines we take our responsibility to protect the planet seriously.

From recycling contact lenses to adjusting our supply chain to reduce transport miles, we continue to do all that we can to contribute positively and reduce our impact upon the environment.

sustainability measures include:

  • Stocking sustainable frames ranges, including Sea 2 Sea, Rolf and Bird Eyewear

  • Choosing supply chains with the least impact on the environment

  • Recycling spectacle frames, in partnership with Bird Eyewear

  • Recycling all other spectacle/optical plastics with Recyc-line

  • Recycling contact lenses (we’ve recycled a whopping 113kg of contact lens waste since January 2023, making Eyelines one of the top contact lens recyclers in the country!)

  • Fully accredited as Net Zero Carbon

  • Adjusted our workplace practices to become paperless

  • Working with earthly.org to plant Mangrove trees in Madagascar. So far we have planted 1,000 Mangrove trees, helping to absorb carbon in our atmosphere, provide natural flood protection and create safe habitats for nature

  • Eyelines branded spectacle cases are made from recycled fishing nets

  • Eyelines branded spectacle cloths are 75% recycled

  • We are also working towards accreditation for Net Zero plastic
